On 7 May, the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Health and Food Safety (DG SANTE) will hold a webinar for patients to provide information about the Medical Device Regulation (MDR), which comes into effect on 26 May 2021.
The MDR aims to significantly improve and strengthen the regulation of medical devices to ensure that medical devices are safe and perform as expected. It is part of a revised European legal framework for medical devices and replaces previous legislation that has been in place for over 20 years.
