Safety Notices from April 2017 - June 2019
This document contains a list of safety notices relating to cosmetic products which have been found on the EU market that may possibly pose a risk to human health. The list includes all notices published since April 2017. From June 2018 onwards this list will no longer be updated and consumers will be able to access any new safety notices directly from the HPRA cosmetics safety notices page.
The HSE, along with the HPRA, monitors for the presence of these products (or specific batches of the products listed) on the Irish market. To date, in the vast majority of cases, there is no evidence to suggest the impacted products or batches of products were supplied to the Irish market.
If the product is found appropriate warnings concerning safe use may be placed on the packaging or at point of sale. Alternatively, the product may need to be withdrawn from the market. Where necessary, further information for consumers and economic operators in respect of such products will be published by the HPRA.
