European Risk Summit in Dublin, 11-12 June 2013 – Call for expressions of interest

The Irish Medicines Board, in association with the Irish Presidency of the Council of the European Union and with the support of the King’s Centre for Risk Management and the Nickel Institute, is organising the European Risk Summit to be held at Trinity College Dublin on 11-12 June 2013.

 

Aims of the Seminar

 

The purpose of the Risk Summit is to discuss the advantages of evidence and risk-based rulemaking as well as the challenges of formulating European directives/regulations and, by extension, national legislation on hazard classifications. Consideration will be given to international principles as a way forward for science-based decision making and the possible impact this would have on the future of European sustainability and innovation, and economic development on the global stage.

 

Who Should Attend

 

The summit aims to encourage and foster dialogue and collaboration among the relevant stakeholders composed of European and national regulators, public officials, academics and industry to address the challenges in this area.
