€3,000 fine for supplying prescription only medicines without prescription

The Irish Medicines Board (IMB) today noted Judge John O’ Neill’s ruling at Dublin District Court in a case involving two offences of supplying a prescription only medicine without a prescription on two occasions in January 2012 and January 2010. Mary Concepta (Connie) Burke pleaded guilty to both counts of supplying the product Dysport which contains the active substance Botulinum Toxin. 

Ms. Burke was fined €3,000, with six months to pay or 14 days imprisonment in default of payment.
