Problem Or Issue:
The Irish Medicines Board wishes to advise all patients and healthcare professionals of an error on the packaging of Dilzem XL 240mg capsules.
The error relates to the strength of the capsules as printed on the blister strips in a number of packs. This means that some patients might receive a higher dose than that prescribed.
As a precautionary measure, all patients who have received either Dilzem XL 240mg capsules or Dilzem XL 180mg capsules on or after August 22nd, 2002, should return any unused portion of this medicine to their Pharmacist for checking and if necessary, replacement. If you are in any doubt, please contact your Pharmacist or Doctor.
