New Veterinary Regulation — July Update

Regulation 2019/6, known as the New Veterinary Regulation, legislates for the authorisation, use and monitoring of veterinary medicinal products in the European Union. The legislation came into effect on 28 January 2019 and will apply in all EU Member States on 28 January 2022.

A dedicated section on our website (hpra.ie/newvetreg) has been created to assist stakeholders in making the necessary changes to their businesses to comply with the new legislation. The website content includes monthly updates to communicate information on key legislative, regulatory, ICT and procedural changes relating to veterinary medicinal products.

July Update  

The latest monthly update is now available and provides a summary of relevant updates from the European Commission, the European Medicines Agency, the Coordination Group for Mutual Recognition and Decentralised Procedures (Veterinary), in addition to a HPRA update on the national implementation of the Regulation.
