Overdose of OCTOSTIM solution can lead to fluid retention and hyponatraemia.

Treatment:

Although the treatment of hyponatraemia should be individualised, the following general recommendations can be given: Discontinue the desmopressin treatment, restrict fluid intake and treat symptoms if needed.
