The HPRA are delighted to announce the registration for the International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities (ICDRA) 2018 is now open! This biennial conference which is hosted by HPRA on behalf of the World Health Organisation (WHO) is the largest global conference of medicine regulators and up to 70 different countries are expected to attend. The conference will take place in Dublin, Ireland from 3 - 7 September 2018.
This WHO global event provides a key platform for regulatory dialogue, sharing best practice across the world and to strengthen and support less mature regulatory agencies. Delegates will participate in a forum aimed to foster collaboration and develop international consensus on regulatory priorities.

Delegates will participate in a forum aimed to foster collaboration and develop international consensus on regulatory priorities.
The theme for ICDRA 2018 is: “Safety surveillance - A life-cycle approach to promoting safety of medical products”. Under this theme, some of the key areas to be addressed include: medicines safety; regulatory preparedness for emergencies; access to medicines and substandard and falsified products.
The first two days of the conference “Pre-ICDRA” is open to regulators and stakeholders across a broad range of areas in public health, including representatives from industry, academia, government organisations etc. The second half of the week “ICDRA” is restricted to official regulators from WHO member states.
