New variations regulation – guidance for submitting Type IA Annual Updates

Information on the new EU requirements for Type IA Annual Updates is now available on our website. 

Under Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1701, these updates became mandatory across the EU from 1 January 2025. 

The European Commission’s detailed guidance on the revised variations framework will apply from 15 January 2026. 

Our new webpage explains what a Type IA Annual Update is, how the 9–12 month submission window works, and how it differs from a Super Group. It also covers what companies should do if they have made Type IA changes either before or after 15 January 2025.
