The HPRA has been awarded the KeepWell Mark, an accreditation that recognises workplace wellbeing. This is part of an ongoing commitment by HPRA to provide the highest standard of workplace wellbeing and health & safety to our employees.

The KeepWell Mark is an evidence-based accreditation and award that recognises and rewards Irish employers for investing in workplace health and wellbeing. Its aim is to help organisations to benchmark workplace wellbeing activities through a set of systematic and methodical steps. The framework includes a self-assessment, an onsite assessment from an external assessor, and culminates with a report that outlines our key successes and some recommendations to further enhance HPRA’s continued development in the area of health and wellbeing.

The accreditation takes a holistic approach that focuses on eight key areas and how they impact our organisation. These eight areas are leadership, absence management, smoke free, physical activity, health & safety, mental health, healthy eating, and intoxicants.

Speaking on the KeepWell Mark process, Director of HR & Change Lynsey Perdisatt said, “It’s widely accepted that investing in a safe and supportive work environment should be a high priority for any organisation. In HPRA, we have invested in health and wellbeing initiatives for many years now and this award and accreditation represents a clear path for future development as we continue to work towards the high standards and best practices recommended in the KeepWell Mark framework. We will continue to invest our efforts in this area so our employees can feel the tangible benefits of our work. As we are also the first public sector organisation to receive the award, we aspire to set an example for other organisations to follow in our footsteps.”
