The IMB is pleased to announce that it will host a training seminar for distributors of cosmetic products on 29th March 2012 in the Camden Court Hotel, Lower Camden Street, Dublin 2. The seminar will provide an overview of the cosmetic legislation, specifically with regard to the distribution of cosmetics.
Aims of the Seminar
The main purpose of the seminar is to outline the current and future legislation for cosmetics and what it means for distributors. The event will also provide an overview of the IMB's role and that of other stakeholders involved in market surveillance including the Department of Health (DoH), the Health Service Executive (HSE) and the National Consumer Agency (NCA).
Attendance is recommended as the training day will provide an important update on Regulation 1223/2009 for cosmetic products (becoming effective in July 2013) and what it will mean for distributors. This will allow for an interactive meeting with full discussion of current issues from both a regulatory and industry perspective.

Who Should Attend
Given the nature of the information that will be provided we would anticipate that attendance at the event will be of most benefit to distributors of cosmetic products.
Attendance will initially be limited to two attendees per organisation. Subject to availability, additional places will be assigned on a first come, first served basis.
