We wish to advise you that batch no. 665276 of Versifel FeLV Suspension for Injection for Cats is being recalled by Zoetis Belgium SA.
This recall is going to veterinary surgeon level.
This batch is being recalled as a precaution due to an atypically high number of reported adverse events following the administration of the batch. The reported adverse events to date (mostly represented by hyperthermia, lethargy, injection site pain and anorexia) generally match the nature of adverse events already mentioned in the currently approved product information.

Actions To Be Taken:
For veterinarians, you are requested to perform the following actions:
1. Immediately identify and quarantine any units of the batch in your possession;
2. If you have supplied this batch to any other veterinary surgeon/clinic, please send a copy of the recall letter to them, requesting that they quarantine and return any units of the batch to you.
3. Please return all stock from this batch, including full or part packs, to the wholesaler who supplied it to you within two weeks. Please include your wholesaler account number with the returns to assist in tracking this stock.
For wholesalers, you are requested to perform the following actions:
1. Immediately identify and quarantine any units of the batch in your possession, as well as any units returned to you by your customers;
2. If you have supplied this batch to any other wholesaler, please send those wholesalers a copy of the recall letter, requesting that they quarantine and return any unsold quantities of this batch to you.
3. Please return all quarantined stock, including full or part packs, from this batch within four weeks of receipt of the recall letter to the logistic services provider, Allphar Services Ltd, Greenogue Business Park, Rathcoole, Co Dublin, for credit. Please contact Zoetis Customer Support at ciara.fitzgerald@zoetis.com to organise return of the units.
