Problem Or Issue:
The HPRA wishes to advise that one batch of Cydectin 1% w/v Injectable Solution for Sheep, VPA10387/014/001 is being recalled to Veterinary Surgeon / Licensed Merchant / Pharmacy level in Ireland.
The reason for the recall is that the meat and offal withdrawal period is incorrectly stated on the outer carton of this batch as 28 days when it should state 82 days.
Recall letters have been issued by the marketing authorisation holder company, Zoetis, to Veterinary Surgeons, Licensed Merchants and Pharmacies to which the affected batch was distributed.
Actions To Be Taken:
Specific Information for Veterinary Surgeons / Licensed Merchants / Pharmacists:
- Please check all relevant areas of your facility for units of the affected batch;
- Immediately physically quarantine any units which you have in your possession;
- Quarantined units should be returned within 14 days of receipt of the recall letter to the wholesaler who supplied you.
